A man’s heart plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.

And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

If you do not experience discipline like everyone else, then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. Furthermore, we have all had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them. Should we not much more submit to the Father of our spirits and live? . . .
For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return without watering the earth, making it bud and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat, so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Beloved, we are now children of God, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when Christ appears, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is.
But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—
This is the plan devised for the whole earth, and this is the hand stretched out over all the nations. The LORD of Hosts has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His hand is outstretched, so who can turn it back?
Which of you, wishing to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost to see if he has the resources to complete it?
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. This is the Spirit He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by His grace, we would become heirs with the hope of eternal life.
And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

The plans of the heart belong to man, but the reply of the tongue is from the LORD.

Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.
You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.
For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and humble in spirit, to restore the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the contrite.
