Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.
And whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: “This is the way. Walk in it.”
For lack of guidance, a nation falls, but with many counselors comes deliverance.
And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.
I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will give you counsel and watch over you.
Call to Me, and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peace-loving, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere.
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to counsel.
The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.
A man’s heart plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the path chosen for him.
He who walks with the wise will become wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed.
He who isolates himself pursues selfish desires; he rebels against all sound judgment. A fool does not delight in understanding, but only in airing his opinions. With a wicked man comes contempt as well, and shame is accompanied by disgrace. The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. Showing partiality to the wicked is not good, nor is depriving the innocent of justice. . . .
And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.
I can do nothing by Myself; I judge only as I hear. And My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.
Listen to counsel and accept discipline, that you may be wise the rest of your days.

The prudent see danger and take cover; but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
let the wise listen and gain instruction, and the discerning acquire wise counsel
My son, if you accept my words and hide my commandments within you, if you incline your ear to wisdom and direct your heart to understanding, if you truly call out to insight and lift your voice to understanding, if you seek it like silver and search it out like hidden treasure, then you will discern the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God.
This is what the LORD says: “Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the ancient paths: ‘Where is the good way?’ Then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it!’
The LORD will always guide you; He will satisfy you in a sun-scorched land and strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
Have I not commanded you to be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
So then, let us pursue what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

Anxiety weighs down the heart of a man, but a good word cheers it up.

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
The Law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart; the commandments of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true, being altogether righteous.
A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. . . .
We also have the word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.
Pray without ceasing.
Every wise woman builds her house, but a foolish one tears it down with her own hands.
Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the purpose of the LORD will prevail.
Wait patiently for the LORD; be strong and courageous. Wait patiently for the LORD!
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to Your word.
Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
You are also to make a breastpiece of judgment with the same workmanship as the ephod. Construct it with gold, with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and with finely spun linen.
And place the Urim and Thummim in the breastpiece of judgment, so that they will also be over Aaron’s heart whenever he comes before the LORD. Aaron will continually carry the judgment of the sons of Israel over his heart before the LORD.
For the choirmaster. According to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. In God alone my soul finds rest; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress; I will never be shaken.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, for God has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”
so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.
Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, but an accurate weight is His delight.

Which of you, wishing to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost to see if he has the resources to complete it?

Even zeal is no good without knowledge, and he who hurries his footsteps misses the mark.
Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.
The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, so that we may follow all the words of this law.

The plans of the heart belong to man, but the reply of the tongue is from the LORD. All a man’s ways are pure in his own eyes, but his motives are weighed out by the LORD. Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved. The LORD has made everything for His purpose—even the wicked for the day of disaster. Everyone who is proud in heart is detestable to the LORD; be assured that he will not go unpunished. . . .
One night at Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream, and God said, “Ask, and I will give it to you!” Solomon replied, “You have shown much loving devotion to Your servant, my father David, because he walked before You in faithfulness, righteousness, and uprightness of heart. And You have maintained this loving devotion by giving him a son to sit on his throne this very day. And now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king in my father David’s place. But I am only a little child, not knowing how to go out or come in. Your servant is here among the people You have chosen, a people too numerous to count or number. Therefore give Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to govern this great people of Yours?” . . .
Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths.
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the Day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
Show me Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; all day long I wait for You.
The wounds of a friend are faithful, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
