Let no one despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

But the LORD told me: “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ For to everyone I send you, you must go, and all that I command you, you must speak.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Rejoice, O young man, while you are young, and let your heart be glad in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and in the sight of your eyes, but know that for all these things God will bring you to judgment.

And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Children are indeed a heritage from the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. He will not be put to shame when he confronts the enemies at the gate.

now that you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

In this way they can train the young women to love their husbands and children,

Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Young men, in the same way, submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you. Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. A good name is more desirable than great riches; favor is better than silver and gold. The rich and the poor have this in common: The LORD is Maker of them all. Thorns and snares lie on the path of the perverse; he who guards his soul stays far from them. . . .

“Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson, they will become like wool. Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the purpose of the LORD will prevail.

How lovely they will be, and how beautiful! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine, the young women.

A foolish son brings grief to his father and bitterness to her who bore him.

Do not rebuke an older man, but appeal to him as to a father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.

Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But reject foolish and ignorant speculation, for you know that it breeds quarreling. And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing. He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth.

He exploited our people and oppressed our fathers, forcing them to abandon their infants so they would die.

Instead, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the desires of the flesh.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.

For you have spent enough time in the past carrying out the same desires as the Gentiles: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and detestable idolatry.

Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

What good is it, my brothers, if someone claims to have faith, but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you tells him, “Go in peace; stay warm and well fed,” but does not provide for his physical needs, what good is that? So too, faith by itself, if it does not result in action, is dead.

I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”

My son, if sinners entice you, do not yield to them.

And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.

Little children, let us love not in word and speech, but in action and truth.

Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men,

Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.
