And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you.
I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.
Not only that, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.
And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!β
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him from them all.
βHe will wipe away every tear from their eyes,β and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.β

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.

God rescues the afflicted by their affliction and opens their ears in oppression.
Going a little farther, He fell facedown and prayed, βMy Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Yet not as I will, but as You will.β
But He said to me, βMy grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.β Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me. That is why, for the sake of Christ, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
From that time on Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. βFar be it from You, Lord!β he said. βThis shall never happen to You!β But Jesus turned and said to Peter, βGet behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me. For you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.β
and His disciples asked Him, βRabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?β Jesus answered, βNeither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering acute pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzedβand He healed them.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse.
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way that we are, yet was without sin.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
