If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very words that testify about Me,
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Wait patiently for the LORD; be strong and courageous. Wait patiently for the LORD!

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Can’t you see for yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you—unless you actually fail the test?
My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.
Just as the living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on Me will live because of Me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give a defense to everyone who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect,
And He has qualified us as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, why are You going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth.
But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to everyone. The true Light who gives light to every man was coming into the world.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God.
But as for you, speak the things that are consistent with sound doctrine.
Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only ones it has reached?
Sober up as you ought, and stop sinning; for some of you are ignorant of God. I say this to your shame.
And this is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
After the death of Ahab, Moab rebelled against Israel. Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers and instructed them: “Go inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I will recover from this injury.” But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, “Go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and ask them, ‘Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are on your way to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron?’ Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘You will not get up from the bed on which you are lying. You will surely die.’” So Elijah departed. When the messengers returned to the king, he asked them, “Why have you returned?” . . .
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

He went on to say, “Pay attention to what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and even more will be added to you. For whoever has will be given more. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” Jesus also said, “The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground. Night and day he sleeps and wakes, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he knows not how. All by itself the earth produces a crop—first the stalk, then the head, then grain that ripens within. . . .
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Instruct a wise man, and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man, and he will increase his learning.
Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—whom shall I dread?
May Your loving devotion rest on us, O LORD, as we put our hope in You.

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.
The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
I testify to everyone who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.
Wake up and strengthen what remains, which was about to die; for I have found your deeds incomplete in the sight of My God. Remember, then, what you have received and heard. Keep it and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know the hour when I will come upon you.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me.
