For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” He went on to say, “Pay attention to what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and even more will be added to you.

For as soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.

This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. Yet to this day the LORD has not given you a mind to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.

You must not make any cuts in your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

then take an awl and pierce it through his ear into the door, and he will become your servant for life. And treat your maidservant the same way.

Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like a cobra that shuts its ears,

You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit, just as your fathers did.

Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you are unable to accept My message.

He who listens to life-giving reproof will dwell among the wise.

He opens their ears and terrifies them with warnings

Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron. The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks it out.

Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but they followed the stubborn inclinations of their own evil hearts. They went backward and not forward.

Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life.

But to Hannah he would give a double portion, for he loved her even though the LORD had closed her womb. . . .

“Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear.

But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.

The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.

Whoever turns his ear away from hearing the law, even his prayer is detestable.

Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes its food?

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

My son, pay attention to my wisdom; incline your ear to my insight,
