Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.
What good is it, my brothers, if someone claims to have faith, but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you tells him, “Go in peace; stay warm and well fed,” but does not provide for his physical needs, what good is that? So too, faith by itself, if it does not result in action, is dead.
Anyone, then, who knows the right thing to do, yet fails to do it, is guilty of sin.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men,
In the same way, I tell you that there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous ones who do not need to repent.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith.
Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves with purses that will not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. . . .
Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
For God is not unjust. He will not forget your work and the love you have shown for His name as you have ministered to the saints and continue to do so.
Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved.
Whatever you find to do with your hands, do it with all your might, for in Sheol, where you are going, there is no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.
But as for you, brothers, do not grow weary in well-doing.
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
And do not neglect to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
The slacker craves yet has nothing, but the soul of the diligent is fully satisfied.
Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be conceited and not to put their hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in God, who richly provides all things for us to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, and to be generous and ready to share, treasuring up for themselves a firm foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.
know that a man is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
God “will repay each one according to his deeds.” To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil, first for the Jew, then for the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace for everyone who does good, first for the Jew, then for the Greek.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth.
There is profit in all labor, but mere talk leads only to poverty.
And our people must also learn to devote themselves to good works in order to meet the pressing needs of others, so that they will not be unfruitful.
And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds.
For no word from God will ever fail.”
Make sure that no one repays evil for evil. Always pursue what is good for one another and for all people.
But Jesus answered them, “To this very day My Father is at His work, and I too am working.”
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, and to be generous and ready to share,
Learn to do right; seek justice and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless and plead the case of the widow.”
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.
For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.
The one who works his land will have plenty of food, but whoever chases fantasies lacks judgment.
Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith.
Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.
And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’
The hand of the diligent will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.
Then the LORD God took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and immovable. Always excel in the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.
“Be careful not to perform your righteous acts before men to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. Truly I tell you, they already have their full reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
In everything, show yourself to be an example by doing good works. In your teaching show integrity, dignity, and wholesome speech that is above reproach, so that anyone who opposes us will be ashamed to have nothing bad to say about us. Slaves are to submit to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not argumentative,
To this end we labor and strive, because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of everyone, and especially of those who believe.
so that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.
Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John, who testifies to everything he saw. This is the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and obey what is written in it, because the time is near. John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from Him who is and was and is to come, and from the seven Spirits before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood, . . .
Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed Me over to you is guilty of greater sin.”
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them whenever you want. But you will not always have Me.
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, . . .
Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
If anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and do good while they live,
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. All that matters is faith, expressed through love.
You see that his faith was working with his actions, and his faith was perfected by what he did.
The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.
because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Share with the saints who are in need. Practice hospitality.
For even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “If anyone is unwilling to work, he shall not eat.”
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves.
But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of Him who holds the seven stars in His right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. I know your deeds, your labor, and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and you have tested and exposed as liars those who falsely claim to be apostles. Without growing weary, you have persevered and endured many things for the sake of My name. But I have this against you: You have abandoned your first love. Therefore, keep in mind how far you have fallen. Repent and perform the deeds you did at first. But if you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. . . .
This saying is trustworthy. And I want you to emphasize these things, so that those who have believed God will take care to devote themselves to good deeds. These things are excellent and profitable for the people.
He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come!
He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing good with his own hands, that he may have something to share with the one in need.
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
God “will repay each one according to his deeds.”
For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law.
So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should entrust their souls to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.
In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets.
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.
And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?”
When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain and sat down. His disciples came to Him, and He began to teach them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. . . .
