They must not shave their heads or let their hair grow long, but must carefully trim their hair.
You must not cut off the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.
You must not make any cuts in your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Paul remained in Corinth for quite some time before saying goodbye to the brothers. He had his head shaved in Cenchrea to keep a vow he had made, and then he sailed for Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila.

so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation. I will cause everyone to wear sackcloth and every head to be shaved. I will make it like a time of mourning for an only son, and its outcome like a bitter day.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.
