Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine as lights in the world
Like an earring of gold or an ornament of fine gold is a wise man’s rebuke to a listening ear. Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a trustworthy messenger to those who send him; he refreshes the soul of his masters.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (which is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on the earth.”
Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
For each one should carry his own load.
A wife of noble character, who can find? She is far more precious than rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he lacks nothing of value. She brings him good and not harm all the days of her life. She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. . . .
Honor your father and mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
But everything must be done in a proper and orderly manner.
Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
Do everything without complaining or arguing,
He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
and to aspire to live quietly, to attend to your own matters, and to work with your own hands, as we instructed you. Then you will behave properly toward outsiders, without being dependent on anyone.
If anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Each one should test his own work. Then he will have reason to boast in himself alone, and not in someone else. For each one should carry his own load.
The father of a righteous man will greatly rejoice, and he who fathers a wise son will delight in him. May your father and mother be glad, and may she who gave you birth rejoice!
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.
Older women, likewise, are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers or addicted to much wine, but teachers of good. In this way they can train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, managers of their households, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be discredited.
But Martha was distracted by all the preparations to be made. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord replied, “you are worried and upset about many things. But only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, and it will not be taken away from her.”
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
Serve with good will, as to the Lord and not to men,
Wash and cleanse yourselves. Remove your evil deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil!
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
It will rescue you from the forbidden woman, from the stranger with seductive words who abandons the partner of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God. For her house sinks down to death, and her tracks to the departed spirits.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. . . .
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him.
But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men,
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.
Surely You desire truth in the inmost being; You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
