For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function, so in Christ we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another. . . .
And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and wash your sins away, calling on His name.’
No, I tell you. But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
That is why I told you that you would die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”
The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.
But someone will say, “You have faith and I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
So He said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
If we deliberately go on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins remains,
But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
Here is a call for the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw tongues like flames of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age— and then have fallen away—to be restored to repentance, because they themselves are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to open shame.

But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek.
However, to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.

“Because I, the LORD, do not change, you descendants of Jacob have not been destroyed.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.

I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
For He says: “In the time of favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; now is the day of salvation!

So the law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
