Even a fool is considered wise if he keeps silent, and discerning when he holds his tongue.
My beloved brothers, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger,

After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake there was a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a still, small voice.
“Be silent before Me, O islands, and let the peoples renew their strength. Let them come forward and testify; let us together draw near for judgment.

Be silent before the LORD, all people, for He has roused Himself from His holy dwelling.”
Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.
