Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain and sat down. His disciples came to Him, and He began to teach them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. . . .
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Not only that, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.
I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!”
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him, and he with Me.
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome,
For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His footsteps: “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth.” When they heaped abuse on Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats, but entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly.
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
But My righteous one will live by faith; and if he shrinks back, I will take no pleasure in him.”
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
Now Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth.
And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down—he who accuses them day and night before our God.

I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.

As soon as night had fallen, the brothers sent Paul and Silas away to Berea. On arriving there, they went into the Jewish synagogue. Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or empty pride, but in humility consider others more important than yourselves.
But our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

He thus condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteous standard of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. . . .
For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh,
He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things?
because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.
You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.
Remind the believers to submit to rulers and authorities, to be obedient and ready for every good work, to malign no one, and to be peaceable and gentle, showing full consideration to everyone. For at one time we too were foolish, disobedient, misled, and enslaved to all sorts of desires and pleasures—living in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. . . .

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.
Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We are obligated to thank God for you all the time, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith is growing more and more, and your love for one another is increasing. We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all the saints— the faith and love proceeding from the hope stored up for you in heaven, of which you have already heard in the word of truth, the gospel . . .
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises every son He receives.”
So we see that it was because of their unbelief that they were unable to enter.
Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.
Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from what He suffered. And having been made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him
According to the law, in fact, nearly everything must be purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

To the pure, all things are pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. Indeed, both their minds and their consciences are defiled.
Remind the believers to submit to rulers and authorities, to be obedient and ready for every good work, to malign no one, and to be peaceable and gentle, showing full consideration to everyone.
